For 30 years, Box Lunch has brought our community together around a simple but powerful idea: sharing a meal while standing up for children who need us most. In recent years, more than 3,000 lunches have been sold annually, making Box Lunch one of CASA El Dorado’s largest fundraisers and most impactful outreach events.

Founded in 1992, CASA El Dorado advocates for children in El Dorado County’s foster care system—youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, or abandonment, often alongside substance abuse, domestic violence, or homelessness. These experiences, and the trauma of removal from their homes, can have lasting effects on a child’s life.

CASA El Dorado recruits, trains, and supports dedicated community volunteers to provide consistent, one-on-one advocacy for children in care. When a child’s life has been completely uprooted, a CASA offers stability, a trusted voice, and hope.

Funds raised through Box Lunch directly support the children we serve, while also expanding community awareness and engagement across the county.
